The County Fire AO Program was established in 2014. It has grown to become home to 102 single-function ambulance operators (half of which are paramedics), making SBCoFD the largest fire department provider of ambulance transport in the country. SALARY AND BENEFITS
County Fire Paramedics receive full benefits and a competitive annual salary range of
$63,132.16 - $74,979.84 including built-in overtime pay.
Bi-annual step increases of 2.5% up to top step The County also offers an alternative
Modified Benefits Option
(MBO)
that provides a wage differential of
$1.75 per hour
above the base salary
rate with modified benefits.
The MBO annual salary range for AO Paramedics is
