We are seeking a talented and experienced

Menswear Designer

with a strong background in

outerwear

and a proven track record in branded and licensed apparel. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the

menswear market , particularly within

off-price retail , and will be adept at creating trend-driven collections that align with brand objectives. This role requires a blend of

creative vision, technical expertise, and market awareness

to design commercially successful outerwear styles that meet retailer and consumer demands.

Key Responsibilities

Trend Research & Design Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, fabric innovations, and key silhouettes in

menswear outerwear . Develop seasonal concepts and collections that align with brand and licensing strategies. Create

sketches, CADs, and detailed technical packages

to support product development. Product Development & Execution

Oversee the entire

design process , from concept development through final approval, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with technical design and production teams to

refine fit, construction, and material selection

for outerwear. Ensure designs balance

aesthetic appeal, functionality, and cost-effectiveness . Retailer & Licensing Collaboration

Work closely with

off-price retailers

to develop exclusive design concepts tailored to their consumer base. Partner with licensing teams to ensure brand guidelines are met while delivering fresh, innovative outerwear styles. Incorporate retailer feedback while maintaining the integrity of the brand's

design DNA . Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with

sales, merchandising, and marketing teams

to create commercially viable collections that align with business goals. Monitor the performance of outerwear designs in the market, using

data and consumer insights

to inform future collections. Ensure seamless communication between design, production, and overseas teams for

efficient sample development and production . Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

in Fashion Design or a related field. 5+ years of menswear design experience , with a

strong focus on outerwear . Experience designing for

off-price retailers

and understanding their unique market dynamics. Proficiency in

Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

and other design tools. Strong knowledge of

fabrics, trims, garment construction, and performance features

specific to outerwear. Excellent trend forecasting and market analysis skills. Ability to

manage multiple projects and deadlines

in a fast-paced environment. Highly

creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative , with strong communication and presentation skills. Compensation/Benefits:

The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00, which can vary based on role requirements, skill set, and years of experience. Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and company holidays.
