About the role: We’re seeking a Lead Designer to elevate Sakara Life’s digital and visual presence while shaping the future of our growing wellness brand. In this role, you will lead the creation of user-centered designs across digital platforms (website, email campaigns, social media) and contribute to print and packaging design. Partnering with Marketing, Product Development, and eCommerce teams, you’ll deliver innovative visuals that enhance user experiences, drive engagement, and reflect Sakara’s unique aesthetic.

Responsibilities:

Design engaging assets for campaigns, social media, email, web, packaging, and print.

Collaborate with creative and cross-functional teams to maintain cohesive brand storytelling.

Work on projects from concept development to final production, ensuring designs meet brand standards and business goals.

Develop and implement brand guidelines for a unified visual identity.

Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Stay on top of design trends to keep the brand relevant and innovative.

Build a template library for efficiency and consistency.

Conduct A/B testing to optimize designs for performance and conversion.

Oversee photo and video editing for marketing and digital assets.

Create impactful packaging that elevates the consumer experience.

Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering growth and creativity.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

7+ years of graphic design experience, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional work across both digital and print.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma or Sketch is a requirement.

Strong understanding of typography, composition, color theory, and design fundamentals.

Knowledge of print production and file setup for various media formats.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proven experience coaching or managing junior designers or freelancers.

A balance of creativity and strategic thinking, with an ability to leverage data-driven insights in design.

Strong collaboration and communication skills; thrives in cross-functional teams.

This role will be based out of our HQ in NYC (3 days a week in office are required)
