Job Description

The Manager, Advertising Operations, is an experienced professional with strong advertising knowledge who will help lead an advertising operations team. The individual has excellent organizational and communication skills, excels at customer service, and is a diplomatic and supportive leader. The individual will have a holistic understanding of Dow Jones’ digital, video, and audio businesses, to drive performance and growth across the assigned vertical(s).

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily operational functions related to our digital direct sales, including management of assigned lines of business, maintaining campaign performance, troubleshooting campaign and site issues, and providing the necessary reporting when needed.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of ad ops specialists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and growth.
  3. Identify and implement operational efficiencies within the advertising operation workflow to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  4. Act as a point of escalation for team members, addressing issues swiftly and collaboratively as they are flagged.
  5. Help analyze performance data to provide recommendations for campaign and site improvements.
  6. Work with other members of the Dow Jones team (AdTech) to deliver technology solutions to help improve efficiencies and strategy across the business.
  7. Responsible for leading and developing projects to improve the daily functions of the ad ops team.
  8. Subject matter expert on designated topics, tools, and projects.

What You Need for this Position:

  1. At least 7+ years of digital experience and hands-on ad operations experience.
  2. Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms including Google Ad Manager, Order Management System, 3rd Party reporting UIs.
  3. Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Data Studios, Looker).
  4. Expertise with advertising operations troubleshooting tools such as Charles, Fiddler, etc.
  5. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Has experience leading and growing individuals.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000
