Our client is seeking a Communications Specialist to join their team. As a Communications Specialist, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have time management, teamwork, and adaptability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Communications Specialist

Location: Rockville, MD (twice a week)

What’s the Job?

1. Work closely across groups within People Solutions and collaborate with other business units, senior leaders, and executives on key messaging.
2. Partner with all Human Resources Centers of Excellence to support internal communication and resources for programs which foster employee growth, performance, and retention.
3. Develop, write, edit, and proofread a broad range of key content – this includes executive talking points, newsletters, content for the organization’s intranet site and other written or multi-media materials.
4. Ensure messages resonate with diverse employee populations, adapting content and channels to address regional nuances while maintaining alignment with overarching strategies.
5. Provide professional copy-editing and proofreading expertise on a variety of executive and stakeholder communications materials.

What’s Needed?

1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, English or Journalism preferred.
2. Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in communications or related field.
3. Knowledge of the financial industry and/or regulatory agencies highly preferred.
4. AP style familiarity and ability to work within the organization’s style guidelines.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on clarity and engagement.
