Key Responsibilities

Videography, Photography & Drone Operation (On-Site)

  1. Travel to job sites across San Diego to capture high-quality video footage and professional-grade photos of our construction projects, including ADUs, garage conversions, and room additions.
  2. Operate a drone (certified pilot required) to capture aerial video footage and photography of our projects, ensuring a dynamic and engaging perspective.
  3. Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Social Media Manager to execute creative briefs, ensuring all content aligns with our brand identity and social media strategy.
  4. Capture high-quality assets that highlight our craftsmanship and design expertise, ensuring photos are well-composed, properly lit, and visually compelling.

Content Creation & Editing

  1. Edit video and photo content for various social media platforms, websites, and digital content with a primary focus on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  2. Ensure content is optimized for each specific platform, including aspect ratios, video length, and engagement-driven elements.
  3. Work with multiple content formats, including short-form social media clips and longer-form content.
  4. Stay updated on current social media trends and best practices to ensure content remains modern, engaging, and high-performing.

Equipment & Scheduling

  1. Must have access to professional-grade videography, photography, and editing equipment.
  2. Must be able to travel to job sites across San Diego as needed to capture content.
  3. Set filming days will be scheduled in advance, requiring availability on those specific days.
  4. We are also willing to invest in additional equipment to enhance the quality of our assets and content.

Requirements & Skills

  1. Proven experience in videography and photography, particularly for construction and real estate projects.
  2. Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, and composition to produce professional-grade visual content.
  3. Must be a certified drone pilot with experience in capturing aerial video footage and photography, ideally for real estate or construction projects.
  4. Extensive experience in video and photo editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent software.
  5. Ability to edit multiple formats for social media, website content, and digital promotional material, with social content as the primary focus.
  6. Experience in creating short-form video content specifically for social media.

Social Media & Digital Content Expertise

  1. Strong understanding of video and photo content optimization for social media (formats, engagement trends, and best practices).
  2. Ability to tailor content to different platforms, ensuring maximum engagement and brand consistency.

Project & Time Management

  1. Flexible scheduling availability is required. Due to the nature of construction timelines, scheduled days may vary, and adjustments may be needed based on project progress.
  2. Strong time management skills, efficiently balancing filming, photography, and editing within a 20-hour weekly workload.
  3. Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, social media, and project teams to execute creative visions.
