Role and Responsibilities
Job Description:
Leverage expertise in wireless network communication engineering. Leverage expertise to introduce Samsung products and solutions to Wireless Carriers. Oversee the introduction of new Radio Access Network products and features, conducting systems engineering, and analyzing performance. Develop product and feature requirements, lead deep-dive customer sessions on new technologies, and convert customer requirements into system requirements. Responsible for field integration and test efforts, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product rollouts, all while working closely with support organizations and development teams from SEA and Samsung HQ.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 1 year of postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related job titles.
Applicant must possess 1 year of experience in the following: (1) 5G and 4G air interface and EN-DC network architecture and call processing technologies, specifically focused on Radio Access Network; (2) 3GPP systems and standards: RAN and Core networks; (3) Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, new waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies; (4) Performance improvements (KPIs) Tools including Tableau; (5) protocol analyzers and simulation environments including MATLAB, test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers; (6) RF antenna technologies & network optimizations; and (7) system engineering activities including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, problem troubleshooting. 5-10% Domestic travel required.
