Summary
This position is in the professional Work Category at the full performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.
This position is for the White House Situation Support Staff (WHSSS) at the National Security Council of the White House. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Duties
- The incumbent plans, coordinates, schedules and executes all aspects of secure video teleconferences involving White House and National Security principals that satisfy stated conference requirements.
- The incumbent prepares for each individual conference. Tests equipment to ensure proper operation and, when needed, sets-up the room to accommodate special user needs. Identifies, reports, and troubleshoots system technical issues to the user level.
- Schedules teleconferences involving White House and National Security Council staff and principals.
- Provides information on system availability to authorized users to allow them to accomplish their conferencing needs.
- Serves as lead advisor for major audiovisual facility upgrades with responsibility for providing documentation and justification for needed changes and then testing and acceptance of new software and equipment.
- This is a Key Position. This position cannot be vacated during an emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively. In accordance with DoD Instruction 1200.07.
Requirements Conditions of Employment

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

- Recall/On Call 24/7 Position.
- The incumbent of this position must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance and eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Incumbent must also meet National Security Council onboarding requirements.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: in establishing and managing complex multi-party video teleconferencing systems and point-to-point video teleconference calls; experience in monitoring, reviewing, analyzing and testing VTC and conference room audiovisual equipment and system performance to include special user need accommodations; experience with conference room audiovisual training.
Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
Education
There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-13 grade level.

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.

- A three-year probationary or trial period may be required.
