Video Editing Support needed for Nonprofit in Health and Happiness
We're looking for a volunteer to help with a videography project.
Why: Our social media presence at this time has little to no content, and our website needs more polished digital content. With your help, we can begin our social media presence strong and make necessary adjustments to our website. This is a highly visible project that will impact us for a long time!
Who: The mission of A Healthier, Happier Me is to improve the physical and emotional health and well-being of youth and young adults in marginalized communities.
What to Expect:
- (Remote) Edit existing videos from 1-2 past events with the goal being to have polished content for use on social media/the website.
- (Hybrid) Attend 1-2 upcoming events to take videos. The ideal candidate will also be able to then edit the content with the goal being to have polished content for use on social media/the website.
We'll share our goals and our target audiences. You will have access to our existing branding strategy (a work in progress) and, if editing existing content, access to a file of videos and logos.
What's Required:
- Editing Software Proficiency: Skilled in video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut, or similar.
- Video Footage Management: Ability to organize and manage raw video footage, ensuring proper file formats and resolutions.
- Cutting & Assembling Clips: Experience in trimming, cutting, and assembling video segments for a seamless flow.
- Audio Editing: Basic audio editing skills, including syncing audio, adding sound effects, and balancing sound levels.
- Visual Effects: Familiarity with adding transitions, effects, and text overlays to enhance video quality.
- Color Correction & Grading: Understanding of adjusting color tones to achieve the desired visual mood and consistency.
- Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with content creators, directors, or clients to meet project expectations.
- File Exporting: Expertise in exporting final video projects in various formats and resolutions for different platforms (web, social media, broadcast).
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring quality control by reviewing final edits for errors or inconsistencies.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple editing projects and meet tight deadlines.
