Your Role at Pura:

As Pura’s Visual Merchandising Manager, you will be the creative force behind our retail and experiential presence, ensuring a consistent, unified shopper experience across all channels. Your ability to translate Pura’s brand identity and value into world-class visual displays will help the company "Own the Aisle" and establish a premium, memorable retail presence in stores like Target, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and beyond.

What You’ll Own:

  1. Visual Merchandising Strategy, Development & Execution
  • Develop and implement a cohesive visual merchandising strategy to align with Pura’s brand identity and business goals
  • Design and execute immersive displays that captivate shoppers and communicate Pura’s value proposition
  • Lead the creation and deployment of in-store displays, end cap displays, shelving layouts, and promotional materials that ensure Pura "Owns the Aisle."
  • Collaborate with the retail sales team to align on sales goals, initiatives, and priorities, ensuring cross-functional synergy and leveraging retail insights to achieve shared objectives
  • Incorporate technology and interactive elements into retail experiences, creating memorable, engaging touchpoints for customers

Collaboration with Category Management & Research

  • Partner with Category Management to ensure merchandising strategies align with product and category growth goals, accounting for consumer insights, retail trends, and data
  • Translate findings from market research into impactful merchandising solutions tailored to consumer preferences and shopping behaviors
  • Collaborate with Category, Product, and Retail teams to develop packaging concepts and retail displays that differentiate Pura and enhance the customer shopping experience

Vendor Management

  • Oversee vendor relationships for the production, delivery, and installation of merchandising materials, ensuring flawless execution
  • Collaborate with retail partners like Target, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie to develop custom merchandising solutions
  • Act as a key liaison between the retail team, creative team, and brand partners to maintain alignment and consistent execution across all retail environments

Omni-Channel Alignment

  • Work with Marketing, Creative, and eCommerce teams to ensure brand consistency across digital and physical channels
  • Translate digital campaigns into in-store merchandising that aligns with Pura’s omni-channel strategy and enhances the shopper journey

Project Management & Leadership

  • Manage multiple merchandising projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Present ideas and strategies to executive leadership, brand partners, and retail teams, demonstrating strong communication and confidence
  • Establish and refine processes for consistent execution and high-quality standards across all locations

Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives using sales data, shopper feedback, and store audits
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions to enhance impact and engagement
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies to keep Pura ahead in the market

Essential Functions:

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies
  • Lead and participate in special projects and assignments as required
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Pura’s products and procedures to ensure accurate financial records

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 8+ years in visual merchandising, ideally in beauty, fashion, or home décor
  • Hands-on experience managing vendor relationships, retail partnerships, and large-scale visual merchandising projects
  • Familiarity with retail environments like Target, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie is preferred
  • Packaging design experience is a plus.

  • Strong creative vision with expertise in design, branding, and shopper engagement
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing executive leaders, brand partners, and retail teams
  • Ability to translate consumer insights into actionable merchandising strategies
  • Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with shopper insights, competitive analysis, and sustainability practices
  • Expertise in presenting unified concepts and strategies across multiple, varied formats tailored to different retailers and audiences
  • Experience working in mass, mastige, or prestige retail environments where the shopping experience involves a diverse array of brands
  • Category experience in beauty, fragrance, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands is a strong plus
