This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security and human spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead risk and opportunity management for one or more rocket engine programs
- Identify relationships between risks to ensure effective risk mitigation
- Coach teams in characterizing program risks and developing mitigation plans
- Support the development and documentation of mitigation plans
- Monitor progress of mitigation plans throughout the program lifecycle
- Lead risk review boards at integrated product team and program levels
- Facilitate discussions and seek to understand the purpose behind identified risks
- Collaborate with risk managers and key stakeholders to improve processes, tools, and training
- Improve metrics and reporting systems to provide valuable insights into risk posture
- Contribute to the development and sustainment of a strong risk management culture
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of system development/integration experience, preferably in aerospace or complicated technical systems, including some aspect of new product development
- Familiarity with structured risk management plans and risk monitoring
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including external customers
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a US citizen or national, US permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the US as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of direct Risk Management experience
- Experience with Confluence & JIRA
- Experience with Tableau
