Job Description
Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The
IT Telecommunications Lead
plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of IT projects and support, including New Restaurant Openings. This role oversees all aspects of inventory and vendor management, with a special focus on telecommunications for the IT department. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration will be critical to maintaining inventory levels and ensuring vendor performance meets deadlines and exceeds expectations.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Telecommunications
Oversees the process and vendor management for existing and new telecommunications connections for the business
Manages departmental processes to include new connections, disconnections, and legal documents required by carriers
Handles wireless account management by actively reviewing accounts, adjusting plans to meet business needs, avoiding overages charges, and facilitating adjustments based on departmental feedback and usage analysis
Centralizes telecom accounts to efficiently manage and process payments to carriers
Assists in centralizing and approving invoices for all telecom accounts
Facilitates daily interactions and regular meetings with the telecom aggregator to actively manage the relationship and telecom needs of the business
Inventory Management
Oversees vendor partnerships to maintain hardware stock levels within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, transferring, tracking, and fulfilling orders
Monitors demand and evaluates suppliers to anticipate and address future needs of the business
Manages vendors and processes to store and ship equipment, ensuring timely resolution of IT service incidents in the restaurants
Conducts audits of vendor performances and reports on inventory levels to ensure accurate par and to avoid excess or insufficient stock
Oversees the return material authorization (RMA) process and ensures orders are submitted and fulfilled by the original equipment manufacturer
Manages shipping and logistics vendor programs across all IT initiatives
Vendor Management
Develops and implements a vendor management program for all IT vendors, including quarterly business reviews, proactive pricing, and contract management
Assists in vetting and establishing new IT vendors
Supports the negotiation of new contract terms and pricing agreements
Establishes and monitors vendor service level agreements (SLAs) and measure against performance and enforce applicable penalties
Qualifications
Requirements for Success:
5+ years of experience in IT vendor management, telecommunications, or a related field
Proven experience managing telecommunications systems, including new connections, wireless accounts, and carrier relationships
Demonstrated ability to oversee inventory management, logistics, and vendor performance in a fast-paced environment
Experience with contract negotiation, SLA development, and performance monitoring
Able to handle highly confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality in a time-sensitive manner.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing.
Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
Able to work out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX, full time
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, telecommunications, or a related field
