SUMMARY
The Manager, Digital Advertising, will report to the Senior Manager, Digital Advertising and work closely with members of the Individual Giving team, other teams in need of advertising assistance, and our advertising agency. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of the digital advertising strategy to achieve goals related to fundraising, cultivation, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, donor-centric, and adept at acquiring and retaining meaningful, long-term donor relationships, ensuring a steady revenue stream for the organization's mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute innovative digital advertising strategies to acquire new donors, cultivate existing donors, and increase brand awareness Lead the creative development and execution for all advertising campaigns, including campaign planning, video production and editing, media gathering, content approvals, and quality assurance Manage the lead generation program and including topic and creative development, production of assets, and reporting with a focus on optimizing the program for donor conversion Produce timely and accurate reporting, including ensuring proper tracking, source coding, data hygiene, and data analytics, to inform advertising and digital strategies Lead in the testing strategy for digital advertising to ensure all channels and audiences are optimized, and ensure a diverse and consistent revenue stream Collaborate with other teams to execute in-house advertising programs, such as advocacy lead gen, planned giving lead gen, partnerships brand awareness Organize and manage the creative archive of all digital advertising assets Assist the Senior Manager, Digital advertising and other Individual Giving team members in related tasks as needed Other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in fundraising and direct marketing with at least 2 years of strong focus on digital advertising. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field In lieu of education/degree requirements, a successful candidate will have:
Experience in nonprofit fundraising or direct response marketing for a social impact organization. Understanding of Google Grant Ads and other nonprofit-specific advertising opportunities. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, AI-driven ad optimization tools, and personalization strategies. Experience with emergency fundraising campaigns and rapid-response digital advertising.
Demonstrated success managing digital fundraising programs for a nonprofit, campaign, or association. Strong working knowledge of digital advertising, including digital advertising channels, audience segmentation, multichannel marketing. Knowledge of digital advertising KPIs and advertising data analytics to implement data-driven strategies Deep understanding of digital advertising best practices to acquire new donors, continue engaging and upgrading existing donors, and increasing brand awareness Adept at cultivating strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously. Ability to use data and analytics to inform strategies, track success, and make program improvements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and ability to translate insights into action. Proficiency in Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Engaging Networks, etc.) and online donation platforms.
