Visual Communication Design Lead
Studio Science seeks a strategic design lead to partner with creative, marketing, product, and sales teams at Fortune 200 companies and execute impactful creative assets that support campaigns, product launches, customer engagement, and growth initiatives.
Your team's focus areas will consist of:
- design best-in-class go-to-market creative, including traditional, interactive, experiential, and video (70%)
- storytelling and design for executive-level event keynote presentations (30%)

About You
- You are passionate about guiding a high-performing team through a high volume of work, while delivering a white-glove experience.
- You are constantly examining, evaluating, and learning ways to optimize processes and work, guiding, evaluating, and, when necessary, redirecting creative development.
- You have a proven ability to use design to engage audiences across many touchpoints.
- You are skilled in working through competing priorities and can easily manage multiple tasks and client relationships.
- You display a strong history of developing forward-thinking solutions while ensuring alignment with existing creative standards and business objectives.
- You deliver constructive feedback and consistently mentor team members as you lead them through the day-to-day tasks that contribute to their skill development and success.
- Lead and mentor a team of creatives, fostering innovation and design excellence
- Own the end-to-end creative process, from concept to execution, across multiple disciplines including brand, product marketing, video/motion, and events
- Approach problems inclusively and equitably to deliver better experiences for everyone
- Combine storytelling and presentation design best practices to create powerful executive keynote presentations spanning multiple speakers at global events
- Lead with a strong sense of urgency on exceeding expectations, quality standards, creative exploration, and continuous learning
- Seek to understand clients' strategic goals and vision to drive toward best-in-class, on-brand solutions
- Contribute ideas and guidance to meet our client's goals across various deliverables, including ebooks, whitepapers, presentations (including executive keynote presentations for high-value events), and other brand and product marketing assets
- Foster an environment that embraces an iterative design process and timely and relevant feedback, reacting quickly to new information and opinions to pivot when necessary
- Build strong relationships with clients that create trust and inspire confidence
- Exhibit well-developed leadership qualities and an ability to participate in strategic conversations, collaborate across clients and up through executive-level stakeholders
- Conduct one-on-one meetings and career and performance expectation discussions
- Continually grow and evolve the practice by serving as the subject matter expert, participating in sales calls, penning thought leadership articles, and joining/or maintaining professional associations
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates strong conceptual and compositional skills applied to brand marketing and presentations for large, enterprise, matrixed organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field; combination of education and experience also acceptable
- 10+ years experience in an advertising agency, design firm, or as a leader of an in-house marketing team (B2B technology/SaaS experience a plus)
- 3+ years of demonstrated people management experience coaching and developing team members
- Demonstrated stewardship in partnering with companies in the development of forward-thinking concepts while ensuring alignment with existing creative standards
- Ability to understand the overall journey, purpose, and audience and create assets that resonate and drive action
- Ability to evolve and extend concepts with a scrupulous eye for detail; make corrections and improvements in typography, color, asset/image management, file prep, etc.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (esp. PowerPoint), Apple Keynote, Google Workplace (esp. Slides), and Figma (Canva or Kapost a plus)
- Embodies a proactive approach and learner's mindset, an ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback
- Ability to operate with an inclusive mindset and have experience working with diverse groups in respectful and equitable ways
- This is a hybrid position. Candidates must already reside in the state of Indiana and be able to work out of the Indianapolis office 1-2 days per week
- Availability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to clients sites
