Base pay range
$40,000.00/yr - $45,000.00/yr
Experienced professional with a background in events, communications, & marketing
Under the direction of the Director of Events, the Marketing Manager drives internal and external marketing strategies and develops messaging that consistently communicates Krasl’s mission, vision, and brand. We are seeking innovative and forward-thinking individuals who will help guide the organization through the implementation of organizational brand standards as well as strong public relations and social media skills to ensure we are communicating with our various audiences.
The Marketing Manager will make recommendations regarding relevant and timely marketing practices and is responsible for the effective and efficient planning, oversight, and implementation of Krasl Art Center external communications as well as public relations and audience-building. Specifically, they produce general promotions, market exhibitions, classes, programs, and events; and coordinate related advertising and publications.
This is a forward-facing position that interacts regularly with KAC’s community, members, partners, and the media. This is also a highly collaborative position that interacts and is a liaison between various audiences and staff. The ideal candidate is a community-centric and creative professional who is enthusiastic about sharing Krasl Art Center’s mission and values.
Essential Functions
Marketing
- Facilitate the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print, electronic & digital collateral, including exhibition and education related collateral, a bi-weekly e-newsletter, and 3 printed 16-page newsletters per year.
- Maintain KAC’s website, providing in-house updates and working with CRM database representatives and professional designers as needed.
- Provide strong and accurate written communications for all aspects of the organization including curatorial, education, events, membership and fund development.
- Deliver authentic social media content.
- Provide limited in-house graphic design and photography services.
- Manage KAC’s membership program including membership renewals and cards.
- Inspire engagement and build recognition of Krasl Art Center at the local, regional and national levels.
- Manage external contractors including website developers, graphic designers, photographers, marketing committee, and volunteer(s).
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with the media.
Events
- Play a key role in the marketing strategies and execution of the Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff.
- Participate in Art Fair Core Committee meetings.
- Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all Art Fair related digital, print, and wayfinding materials to include the Art Fair Guidebook, on-site signage, and more.
- Lead the Art Fair Block Party and corresponding subcommittee.
- Support the Director of Events with event specific needs. This will include physical event set-up, tech support, print and signage needs, and onsite event management.
- Hours will vary and event needs will be unique.
- Events include but are not limited to; exhibition preview parties, summer art markets, PechaKucha, student art exhibits, select partner programs onsite, the annual meeting of the membership, as well as revenue generating event rentals.

Business Tools
- Standard office equipment including laptop computer, iPad, printers, camera, and video/sound equipment
- Software knowledge of Google Workspace, Adobe CreativeSuite, Constant Contact and VeevArt CRM database
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience leading Marketing, Public Relations, and/or Brand Promotion campaigns.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential duties listed above.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and credit check required.
- Documentation of COVID-19 Vaccination
- Valid driver’s license
