User Interface Developer Job at Oxford Solutions in Pittsburgh

Full-Time, Direct Hire. Hybrid Schedule in Pittsburgh, PA.

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a mid-level User Interface Developer with a proven track record of developing complex UI applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in UI development and have experience writing JavaScript/TextScript source code from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable user interfaces for web-based applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable JavaScript/TextScript code-this is true UI development, not just integration of pre-built components.
• Build and optimize dynamic, data-driven web applications beyond simple websites or mobile apps.
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Work within security and compliance frameworks, with an ideal background in government systems development.
• Ensure UI/UX consistency and performance across multiple platforms and devices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Computer Science or related degree strongly preferred; candidates with only bootcamp training may not be a fit.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing web client applications
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, with experience in TextScript a plus.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue) is beneficial but not a substitute for deep JavaScript expertise.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and web standards.
• Proven experience in building UI components from scratch
• Experience with government systems and security requirements is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance highly preferred
• Full-stack development experience is nice to have but not required-this role is front-end focused.
