Job Summary:

Lafayette Group is seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual to support strategic communications efforts for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The position will involve developing and distributing communications products on a variety of cybersecurity topics, supporting meetings and stakeholder engagement events, providing project status updates, developing communications plans and products such as briefings and talking points, tracking milestones and metrics, and other similar tasks. This position will support the CISA's Cybersecurity Shared Services Office (CSSO). The CSSO provides a host of cybersecurity shared services to government agencies.

Job Responsibilities :

Assist in the development and implementation of communications plans to coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including federal, state, and local government; industry partners; industry associations; congressional committees; and media representatives.

Develop communications products and activities working directly with project managers, stakeholders, and team members.

Assist in developing briefings, infographics, talking points, fact sheets, event plans, meeting summaries, reports, email outreach campaigns, website content, communications SOPs and templates, and other documentation.

Write and edit content for various types of products and documents.

Support logistics and notetaking for meetings and working group sessions.

Articulate complex concepts to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Provide strategic communications and outreach support for internal and external communications efforts, including message development, idea generation for products and materials, and evaluation of communications efforts.

Collaborate with graphic designers on graphics and videos.

Build strong relationships with team members and clients.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of experience specifically related to communications, marketing, or public relations.

Advanced competency using Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (content development and design), Teams and Outlook.

Strong editing, writing and slide design skills.

Strong client relationship skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Comfortable with public speaking in a variety of settings and to a range of audience types.

Experience facilitating meetings in a professional setting.

Experience or interest in IT or cybersecurity.

Ability to attain a U.S. government public trust and/or security clearance, if required.

Desired Qualifications :

Government consulting experience

Communications experience in IT or cybersecurity field

Experience with creating graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, etc.

Existing DHS or CISA Entry on Duty (EOD) status

Arlington, VA

Federal Contracts:

This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range:

$60 - $70K
