Job Summary
The Digital Content Specialist plays a vital role in developing engaging online content for our web and social media platforms. This position involves organizing an editorial calendar to streamline content delivery, providing editorial judgment, and maintaining brand consistency across all digital channels. You will also deliver training and resources to support various web initiatives while offering intermediate to advanced customer service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Create compelling content for our internal and external web properties while adhering to branding and legal standards.
- Manage a Web Marketing Editorial Calendar to effectively plan communication and resources.
- Craft and coordinate the Web Marketing Monthly Newsletter, expanding the subscriber base.
- Oversee content development for Servpro.com and Franchise websites.
- Formulate communication plans and strategies for new initiatives.
- Design landing pages and other resources during storm events as required.
- Offer editorial guidance and a consistent voice across social media and external websites.
- Train and mentor Web Marketing team members and stakeholders.
- Create training resources to enhance product launches and web initiatives.
- Conduct live presentations at conventions, workshops, and meetings.
- Develop a Social Media calendar aligned with business objectives.
- Support the creation of engaging social media content.
- Establish social media SOPs and provide cross-training on platforms.
- Assist in simplifying the franchise/customer experience.
- Provide customer support via email and help desk tickets, maintaining meticulous records.
- Review website content from Franchisees to ensure brand compliance.
- Coordinate the setup of email addresses for new franchises, ensuring proper format and functionality.
- Complete additional web projects as delegated by the Online Marketing Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 5 years of experience in professional communications focused on editorial requirements and content creation.
- Creative, diplomatic, and able to remain calm under pressure while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to navigate complex issues independently.
- Robust customer service experience in web marketing contexts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail.
- Enjoy working in a dynamic and adaptable team environment.
- Effective communicator capable of building relationships with Franchisees.
- Basic knowledge of marketing and advertising principles.
- Intermediate understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising.
- Familiarity with directory listings, review sites, and social media preferred.
- Experience collaborating with third-party vendors to develop standard procedures.
- Team-player mindset with the ability to lead when necessary.
- Technical aptitude and quick adaptability to new software and processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards or Franchise experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
Working Conditions
