ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
· Designs and develops layouts for mechanical and electrical systems.
· Assists in the production of detailed mechanical drawing and schematics in SolidWorks.
· Creates and/or modifies designs for boilers and pressure vessels to meet customer requirements.
· Develops drawings and Bill of Materials.
· Works with other designers, code inspectors, and quality assurance personnel involved in designing products.
· Produce designs which comply with engineering principles, ASME and NEC code, safety, and customer requirements, as well as company standards.
· Assist other departments, such as marketing, in developing new products or options.
· Assist manufacturing by helping to improve processes, reduce scrap and improve productivity.

Education and Experience:
· 2-Yr Associate's Degree or Technical College Certificate
· 2 to 5 years of mechanical designer experience
· 2 years SolidWorks experience preferred.
· Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
· Pressure vessel or boiler industry experience a plus.
· Experience with boilers, valve sizing, pump sizing.
· Experience with boiler controls and controls methodology.
· Experience with schematics and Ladder logic.
· Ability to read all applicable drawings, including mechanical, electrical schematics and instrumentation.
