Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director with a strong background in the fashion accessories industry, specifically in the territory sales sector within small to medium-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and possess the strategic acumen to drive sales growth. This individual must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, the ability to manage a high-performing sales team, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four Account Executives, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and achieve individual and team sales targets.

Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve company sales goals. Analyze market trends and sales data to identify opportunities and optimize performance.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing retail chains and department stores. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our presence in the retail market. Engage with potential clients, present Leather Goods’ product offerings, and negotiate contracts to secure new partnerships.

Sales Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Track progress against targets, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.

Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives and market trends. Provide feedback on customer preferences and product performance.

Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Utilize this knowledge to adapt sales approaches and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sales management experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and achieving sales targets in the retail or fashion industry.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a sales team. Demonstrated success in motivating and guiding team members to achieve their best performance.

Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships with retail clients and partners.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. Proficient in analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.

Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a successful history of closing high-value deals.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is preferred.
