Senior UX Researcher
Work Model: Remote or Hybrid Location: Toronto, preference for east coast NA. Electronic Arts Inc. is a global leader in interactive entertainment. We connect hundreds of millions of players from around the globe to some of the world's greatest games. The EAX team is driving the strategy and implementation of important programs for EA's community of players to connect them to one another and to the games they love to play. These products include in-game experiences such as EA connect, an in-game social menu used by EA games to drive connections between players, across platforms. Working as an embedded Senior UX Researcher on the In-Game Experiences (IGX) team, you will build the team's foundational knowledge on social gaming; help the team create future experiences for players and studios; and shape the future of multiple products that reach millions of players around the world! Beyond existing products, you will also help to identify new product opportunities and unmet player needs. What you'll do Collaborate with our product and design team to create research plans based on the team's goals, and proactively identify research opportunities
Lead all phases of user research, including recruiting, scheduling, developing test plans, surveys, conducting research and analysis
Communicate research findings and insights clearly to team members and partner teams
Promote a culture of research with the wider team and organization
Tackle a mix of clearly-defined problems and ones that are ambiguous or new, including those that impact critical decisions on the product team
Qualifications You have an advanced degree in experimental psychology (experimental, social, cognitive), human computer interaction, human factors, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
You have 3+ years industry experience in research design and conducting user research studies
You are fluent in multiple evaluative and generative research methodologies and have expertise around when to apply one over another
You can show prior work examples of research projects and the impact of your research findings, with a demonstrated ability to influence product team leadership.
Interest in gaming or the gaming industry is a plus

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
