The Opportunity : The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing (CON) is seeking well-qualified candidates for a Web Content Specialist I position. The Web Content Specialist will be a member of the marketing team supporting internal and external marketing communications functions. The position will maintain the website, web page content, and website design for brand continuity and user functionality for the UCF College of Nursing. This position will also support multi-media functions including, but not limited to, the management of the College's media room and marketing technology. The position will document and create standard operating procedures related to website edit requests, website maintenance and optimization, media room utilization, multi-media and data organization, and marketing technology support. The Web Content Specialist will assist with the coordination, administration, and implementation of various marketing communications projects working collaboratively as a member of the marketing team. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and support IT as needed.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the College of Nursing website utilizing WordPress, update web page content provide technical advice, and carry out implementation efforts on a website redesign, including layout and functionality, to optimize the user experience on desktop and mobile devices while aligning with UCF templates/branding, security, and accessibility.
Participate as an active member of the College marketing team supporting multiple constituents including IT, advancement, alumni relations, events, faculty and staff, leadership, and regional campuses. Work collaboratively with Academic Health Sciences Center, including College of Medicine to support web and technology needs in the Dr. Phillips Nursing Pavilion.
Maintain College marketing equipment, including camera, audio, sound, editing, lighting, etc. Schedule and coordinate the utilization of the media room, support faculty and staff video and technological needs, including podcast room and focus room, and edit video footage to support faculty and staff requests.
Work with UCF teams, including central marketing, web communications, and research, to build microsites supporting College research and labs as the College grows these initiatives.
Provide support to the Director of Marketing and fellow marketing team members, creating content with photo and video support for the web, articles, and social media.
Provide data and reporting.
Document and create standard operating procedures related to website edit requests and website maintenance, media room utilization, and marketing technology support.
Support the College IT Department as needed with support for technology, including, but not limited to, digital displays. Purchase items via the UCF process for marketing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned. Cross-train with fellow marketing team members to ensure consistent support for the College.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications :
Web content management experience including WordPress.
Familiarity with HTML/PHP/CSS fundamentals and web layout design.
Proficient with technology, able to learn new tools and software systems quickly.
Experience with video editing, streaming, using VMIX, and studio experience.
The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
