Job Summary
Doc’s Brands is seeking an experienced Creative Director to lead the development and execution of high-impact creative strategies across Doc’s Diesel and Doc’s Filters. This role is responsible for ensuring brand consistency, overseeing content creation, and driving data-informed creative decisions that fuel business growth. As the Creative Director, you will lead, manage, and hold accountable internal creative teams and external partners, ensuring all creative assets align with marketing goals and brand identity. You will oversee creative strategy, content production, and quality control while leveraging performance data to optimize campaigns. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented leader with a passion for storytelling, brand development, and team collaboration. This role requires a strong focus on video and the ability to bring ideas to life through compelling visuals and content.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and hold accountable the internal creative team and external partners, ensuring alignment with company goals while working under the Head of Growth.
  2. Develop and execute innovative creative strategies that drive brand engagement, revenue, and growth.
  3. Maintain and evolve the visual identity and brand voice of Doc’s Diesel and Doc’s Filters.
  4. Manage the on-site photographer and videographer, overseeing content planning and execution.
  5. Strong focus on video to elevate brand visuals and ensure high-quality creative output.
  6. Schedule and run campaigns, ensuring all creative assets are produced on time, meet performance objectives, and align with brand identity and messaging guidelines.
  7. Work cross-functionally with the eCommerce team and collaborate directly with the Head of eCommerce to ensure alignment on creative initiatives, digital projects, and performance goals.
  8. Stay ahead of industry trends, creative best practices, and emerging digital marketing innovations to ensure Doc’s Brands remains competitive.
  9. Oversee the ideation, production, and execution of all creative assets, including ads, website content, social media, email marketing, and video content, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
  10. Develop compelling storytelling techniques that resonate with audiences and enhance brand perception.
  11. Balance creative innovation with performance marketing goals to ensure content is both engaging and conversion-focused.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in creative leadership, content marketing, or digital advertising, specifically in product marketing for a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand, with a preference for in-house experience.
  2. Proven ability to develop and execute creative strategies that drive revenue, engagement, and brand growth.
  3. Experience leading creative teams, managing external agencies, and ensuring accountability across stakeholders.
  4. Expertise in visual arts, including videography, photography, and graphic design.
  5. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci, along with content management platforms.
  6. Strong background in branding, performance marketing, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) campaigns.
  7. Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing creative performance metrics and optimizing for results.
  8. Strong storytelling skills with an eye for compelling visuals and engaging copywriting.

Additional Requirements

  1. Must be able to get on-site in Bryan, OH (HQ) at least once a quarter.
  2. Experience in the automotive or auto parts industry is a plus.
  3. Preferred experience working in a smaller company or startup environment, with a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams both remotely and on-site.
