Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Student Video Editor to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Multi-Media team in the Marketing department.
Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of the Student Video Editor will be to assist in the post-production of video content for GCU and other GCE clients.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Student Video Editors will be responsible for the following:
- Editing original programming content for GCU, such as #AskGCU and Living as Lopes.
- Editing videos for social media that require quick turnarounds.
- Editing videos such as broadcast features and news stories.
- Aiding in data management and organization of digital assets.
- Assisting full-time staff on video projects.
Qualifications:
- A successful student candidate must showcase an excellent eye for creating captivating video, be deadline driven, and have a well-developed sense of urgency.
- Working knowledge of video editing software preferred (Adobe Premiere).
- Can showcase outstanding judgment in selection of b-roll and sound bites.
- Ability to work quickly and produce quality video with short deadlines.
- Being able to work independently.
- Ability to be a self-starter, learn new skills, and learn new software.
- Skills and experience in live streaming a bonus.
Education:
Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student-first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master-level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach, climb, kneel, or crouch as needed.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature and noise variations.
- Must be able to handle repetitive tasks and use manual tools and equipment safely.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
