COUNTY AND TRANSPORTATION REPORTER
The Daily Herald is seeking an experienced journalist with a demonstrated record of identifying, reporting and writing both daily and long-term investigative and in-depth enterprise stories. This reporter will spearhead our coverage of transportation and county government.
An ability to develop a wide range of sources in business, government and academia is a must. The reporter should be comfortable taking photos and video and have an aptitude for alternative forms of digital storytelling. We want to produce multimedia stories and projects that hold the powerful to account, identify injustice, expose abuse and lead to positive change.
We need someone who is self-motivated and can pursue multiple stories at one time.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk
The Herald newsroom is part of the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild, so this will be a union position. More information will come as we are still in those negotiations.
Pay: $20.50 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift, days and hours may vary
