About the Role:
CoreWeave is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedStaff Technical Writer to join and help build the new Knowledge Architecture team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-quality internal documentation, knowledge management, and educational materials in CoreWeave’s rapidly evolving environment.
The Staff Technical Writer is primarily responsible for producing and supervising the production of high-quality internal-facing documentation on all CoreWeave operations. This senior role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate and effective communication between stakeholders within the organization, supporting technical understanding, and enhancing operational efficiency and engineering excellence as we build the Knowledge Architecture team.
This individual has extensive leadership experience in refining internal knowledge architecture and documentation structures in a startup environment. This role is a combination of individual contributorship and high-level management, and an ideal candidate is excited to work through ambiguity and to make a significant impact on CoreWeave’s infrastructure. Their documentation responsibilities span the gamut from conceptual guides and explanations to how-to guides, internal reference documentation, team process documentation, and tutorial materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team lead in developing, writing, and maintaining new architecture for internal technical documentation and engineering excellence materials at CoreWeave. This includes (but is not limited to) internal user manuals, process guides, training materials, templates, SOPs, and our broader internal knowledge base.
- Assist in coordinating internal educational materials, updating the technical materials on the internal website, optimizing our content for AI integration and tuning, and writing and improving onboarding materials.
- Assist the team lead in the creation of onboarding and further ed materials, including (but not limited to) script writing, video editing, research into industry best practices, and pedagogy training.
- Mentor and supervise content production from junior colleagues in the team.
- Assist the team lead in running and documenting the sync attendance that supports the CoreWeave Bulletins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, product development, customer support, and other departments to gather necessary information and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Organize and curate internal documentation resources, ensuring they are up-to-date, easily accessible, and aligned with CoreWeave’s standards.
- Create and update technical materials or categorization systems as required.
- Play a key role in ensuring clear and consistent technical information sharing across departments, facilitating horizontality and transparency in reporting and information sharing.
- Verify that all technical content is accurate, clear, and aligned with CoreWeave’s technical standards and corporate guidelines.
- Review and edit internal technical documents as required for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: Substantial experience in internal technical writing within a technology-driven and rapidly scaling organization. Knowledge of Cloud computing and related technologies required. This role is highly technical.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of technical concepts and familiarity with various technical domains.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate and thorough documentation.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and with senior leadership.
- Tools and Software: Proficiency in documentation and education tools and software, including Jira, Loom, Confluence, Notion, the Office and Google suites, and static site generators. Fluent in Markdown. Familiarity with AI integrations to CMS systems a plus. Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,000-$165,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
