Summary/Objective

NOTE: This is an in-person position, working on location at our office in Houston, Texas.

We are seeking an experienced, talented, and passionate Graphic Designer with 4-6 years of experience to join our in-house marketing and advertising team. You will be collaborating with team members and clients to create compelling, exceptional marketing graphics (images & copy) to be placed in various media including Web, Newspapers, Magazines, Billboards, Flyers, Posters, Postcards, Facebook posts, and LinkedIn posts.

You will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Advertising. Your work will make a difference in people’s lives. Your work will span across all our brands and be seen by thousands of families across the USA daily. You will have creative flexibility, and innovative “out-of-the-box” approaches are welcome. Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizing ideas, visuals, ads, images, and other creative assets as required by internal team members and clients.
  • Combine images with engaging, clear copy that effectively communicates the intent of the creative.
  • Create print and web graphics to promote events occurring at our local offices
  • Create new logos from concept to final output.
  • Create graphic templates that can be used from one location to another.
  • Develop ads for newspapers, magazines, and Facebook posts for 120+ Local offices across USA.
  • Develop brochures, mailers, and outdoor advertising.
  • Repurpose previous/current creative and refresh it.
  • Work with print production partners to bring jobs to completion.

Requirements and Skills

  • Professional understanding of visual elements (layout, typography, fonts) and the ability to articulate design decisions using these principles.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing, keeping organized, and maintaining the highest design quality and accuracy standards.
  • Produce clear, concise, and convincing writing, including grammatical and material accuracy as part of the final creative.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of marketing/advertising strategy
  • Must be s self-motivated contributor and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a good listener and open to feedback from clients and team members and incorporate this to enhance designs.
  • Establish and maintain positive, productive relationships
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Have a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and in line with company guidelines.
  • A willingness and ability to keep up with the latest advertising visual design and copy trends to ensure creative work remains forward-thinking and timeless.
  • Perform other job-related tasks assigned by supervisor(s).
  • Project a professional, positive attitude toward agency peers, leadership, and clients
  • Organize and maintain all creative assets in the company cloud database.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience, preferably with an in-house creative team, creative agency or design team.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have a portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects demonstrating a strong design sensibility.
