Department Summary The Marketing and Member Experience Department plays a vital role in developing and promoting the products and services and focusing on member experiences that are at the core of the value and mission of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). The department’s goal is to identify, analyze, and understand member needs, and to use these critical insights to define, communicate, and deliver a premier member experience. The department supports the organization by developing and leading the strategic direction and delivery of a comprehensive brand and marketing strategy, by providing the insights needed to inform the prioritization of critical resources, and by identifying new opportunities to sustain the organization’s growth. Position Summary The Product Marketing Associate (PMA) will join an exciting, fast-paced, dedicated team. The primary objective of the PMA is to dig deep into their assigned area to really learn about those products/services inside and out and get that messaging out to the right audience, with the right messaging, through the right channel. This PMA position will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption of various programs for AILA’s membership. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, as well as a proficient tactician with experience assisting/writing marketing plans and executing campaigns. This is a very collaborative role and this person will work closely with other departments. Essential Job Functions Marketing Strategy - 30% Collaborate with product owners on understanding pertinent details to create and execute marketing campaigns Conduct member research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors Campaign Execution - 50% Own the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social/paid media, web, and events Define and write the content for marketing campaigns and sales collateral. Work with graphics, website, and CRM teams to fully execute Manage website content related to your areas of responsibility Project Management - 20% Work regularly in cross-departmental teams to develop successful campaigns Assist product owners in ad hoc projects Monitor and analyze campaign results provided by the data and reports team to optimize marketing strategies and tactics. Assist Director of Product Marketing as needed for ad hoc projects. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A degree in marketing, business, or communications is preferred Four plus (4+) years of marketing experience, preferably with associations and membership models Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously Exceptional team player and a can-do, positive attitude Experience with Legal Services or Immigration Law is a huge plus but not required Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Proven skills to identify new and better ways to drive the business Strong organizational and project management skills with a bias for action Track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns Experience with website content and HubSpot preferred Occasional travel may be required for this role, including attendance at meetings, conferences, or events as necessary to support the organization’s initiatives and objectives.
