SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE Pure Storage is seeking a Director, GTM Sourcing to join our Corporate Sourcing and Procurement team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with GTM’s objectives, optimize supplier performance, reduce costs, consolidate spend, and enhance supply chain resilience across CX, Sales, and Marketing. The Director will lead sourcing initiatives that align with company strategy and priorities, drive supplier performance, and expand spend under management. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… Develop and execute a GTM Sourcing Strategy that aligns with company goals and secures buy-in from key GTM stakeholders. Negotiate global spend for key GTM-related categories, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance. Expand leadership within the sourcing team, serving as the primary point of contact for Sales, Marketing, and CX executive leadership. Lead supplier selection, supplier performance management, and supply base optimization, ensuring the highest levels of quality, service, and cost-effectiveness. Implement and manage a Preferred Supplier Program, building strong relationships with key suppliers to secure consistent supply and drive performance improvements. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to streamline applications and reduce redundant systems. Negotiate contracts and business terms, including payment terms, delivery terms, price reductions, and other strategic considerations with key suppliers. Leverage data analytics to monitor and report on key sourcing metrics, track cost savings, and identify trends that support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with Legal to establish optimal contract terms and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE… 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management with a strong focus on GTM-related functions (CX, Sales, Marketing). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive alignment and business impact. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing cost savings and optimizing supplier performance. Ability to analyze data, track savings, and use reporting tools to support strategy and decision-making. Experience in leading and scaling a global sourcing team within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Detail-oriented, customer-focused, process-savvy, and adaptable to evolving business needs. Leveraging AI to transform the GTM sourcing function. We are primarily an in-office environment; therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave. The annual base salary range is: $182,000 – $291,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
