Experience & Background:

  • 5+ years in project management, preferably in CPG, in-house or agency environments.
  • Experience managing creative teams and resources, ensuring workflows and processes run efficiently.
  • Commercialization experience, particularly in launching tangible goods (cosmetics, apparel, retail products—not tech).
  • Cross-functional project management involving product development, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Experience with retail brands and fast-paced consumer goods environments that require frequent adaptations.

Project & Process Management Skills:

  • Project management software proficiency (e.g., Asana, Basecamp, Jira).
  • Creative workflow optimization, including building intake systems, review processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring on-time and high-quality execution.
  • Risk mitigation & problem-solving, identifying bottlenecks and streamlining execution.
  • Data tracking & performance measurement, optimizing efficiency in creative processes.
  • Budgeting & resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of internal and external creative resources.

Soft Skills & Team Leadership:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of interfacing with senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to align creative and marketing goals.
  • Leadership & coaching, particularly managing junior project managers or cross-functional teams.
  • Emotional intelligence & stakeholder management, balancing the needs of creatives, marketers, and business leaders.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, reactive consumer space, handling high project volume and shifting priorities.

Deliverables & Key Responsibilities:

  • Building intake forms and creative briefs to standardize project requests.
  • Establishing clear review and feedback processes for creative assets and marketing campaigns.
  • Developing SOPs for project scoping, breaking down work into sub-tasks, setting milestones, and ensuring alignment.
  • Standardizing new product innovation launch processes across teams.
  • Ensuring alignment with compliance teams for regulatory requirements in marketing materials.
  • Driving efficiency and performance tracking to measure improvements over time.
