$54.00 to $70.00 per hour Human Factors/UX Researcher Fully onsite in San Diego, CA 6+ Month Assignment Pay range:

$54-$70 per hour (W2) based on experience. The User Experience design (UX) Group in San Diego has openings for a senior human factors engineering/UX researcher position. We are looking for experienced researchers with a passion for user experience and consumer products who can plan, manage, conduct UI/UX research, analyze data, create reports, present to stakeholders, and work to improve usability issues in order to enhance every UX aspect of products. The UX Group is part of a multi-disciplinary team that designs and researches UI/UX for many products. The ideal candidate will have an extensive research background with user-centered design of consumer products and usability evaluations at various stages of product development, as well as a structured academic background. He or she will have experience effectively negotiating interactions with various stakeholders such as designers, engineers, and business development. Responsibilities:

Plan and manage research with stakeholders, including surveys, ethnographic field studies, task-based usability test sessions, contextual inquiries, and expert reviews. Project management. Recruit participants. Create discussion guides, moderate sessions, analyze data, and create reports. Design surveys, analyze data, and create reports. Present reports and work with stakeholders to solve problems. Desired Skills:

Ability to focus on the customer’s needs. Knowledge of basic user-centered design principles. Knowledge of UI industry standards for interface design and user testing methodologies. Experience with statistical analysis of user research and survey creation. Ability to work independently and efficiently on complex projects. Ability to deliver high-quality work on tight schedules. Careful attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and work as a team. Understanding of multicultural environments. Some prior work related to accessibility. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced culture quickly and flexibly. Technology-savvy and understanding of consumer electronics. Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or demonstrated experience in an equivalent field (minimum of 3 years). Skilled experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio. Prior experience with Qualtrics or similar survey tools. Understanding of US culture (living in the US for more than 10 years). Note:
