Description
Reporting to the Technology Services staff, this position will assist the members of the full-time staff with the following responsibilities:
• Assist in remediating dissertations and theses to meet accessibility standards
o Learn and use specialized software (Abbyy Fine Reader) to convert images into full text documents o Tag document elements (such as headings, tables, lists, links, etc.) to meet standards o Check reading order of a document to ensure screen readers can track the logical flow
• Perform other jobs as needed (may include scanning, prepping kits, pulling books from shelves, and data entry)

Hours: Weekday hours, between 9AM and 5PM. Minimum two-hour shifts.

The Loyola Notre Dame Library, located in northern Baltimore City, is a member of the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) and serves Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University. The library serves as an integral part of the campuses by providing information services and resources to support the academic programs and educational concerns of the two institutions.
