Berklee's Marketing & Communication Office is seeking multiple students to work as Student Photographers to cover Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee campus events/performances, assist our staff photographers with headshot days, create engaging content for our social media channels, and support various photography needs.. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to 'read the room' (Some events call for a 'fly on the wall' approach while others need you to be a wrangler of big groups for the more set-up photos). You will get a front row view of many of the amazing programs and events on campus and learn how important an image is for story telling and prosperity.
This job requires federal work-study eligibility and U.S. domestic status.
What is federal work-study? It's available to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students with financial need from their financial aid award to provide part-time employment when you're enrolled in school. You can learn more about the federal work-study program here.

- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.

- has their own photography gear (including digital camera and external flash)
- has strong photography skills: photojournalism and portraiture
- is highly organized, and reliable
- has a flexible schedule
- has strong written and verbal communication skills
- is able to deliver photos in a timely manner
- has a portfolio
Preferred Requirements:
- Enrolled at Berklee during the summer session
- Is familiar with Asana
- Has editing software (Adobe Lightroom or Capture One)
- Understands metadata
- Is passionate about asset management
Responsibilities:
- provide photography support for the College and Conservatory
- photograph assigned events, performances, and receptions on campus
- provide notes/context/captions for all images delivered
- upload finished files to shared GoogleDrive (link provided)
- assist photographers with staff/faculty headshots
- assist with tagging/keywording in Mediagraph (Berklee's Digital Asset Manager)
