You will oversee its Social, Community, Editorial and Influencer efforts while also acting as a core leader within Blizzard’s Marketing organization. A successful leader in this role is a creative visionary with the drive to develop best-in-class campaigns and strategies that shape culture, fuel fandom and define brands.The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader, with deep experience across social campaigns and audience strategy. They have proven success building brands across diverse owned and operated ecosystems, and subsequently activating high-impact campaigns within those platforms. They are driven and passionate, with a keen sense of what makes an idea great and a willingness to seize opportunity at every turn. Importantly, they understand gaming, and recognize the magic that has kept Warcraft thriving as a community for decades. RESPONSIBILITIES Define and drive Warcraft’s Social and Content Marketing (S&C) strategy.Manage a team of 11 across Warcraft Editorial, Influencer, Social and Community. Represent and advocate for Warcraft Editorial, Influencer, Social and Community campaigns, strategies and efforts within senior leadership forums. Partner with cross-functional teams including Brand, Platform, International and Mobile CoEs to deliver best-in-class 360 campaigns. Manage internal and external agency partners.Lead campaign development for Tentpole moments across all S&C verticals. Ensure best-in-class Live Ops support across all S&C verticals. Collaborate with cross-franchise S&C leads to continually elevate the team’s processes and practices, searching for opportunities for insight sharing, efficiencies, support and feedback.  Drive social and influencer reporting, insights, and delivery through the use of analytics tools, including Sprinklr.Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach, as well as drive KPIs across platforms and campaigns.Report to the VP of Social and Content for Blizzard.PLAYER PROFILE 10+ years’ experience in social or influencer marketing at an agency or in-house within Gaming, Entertainment or Consumer Tech industries.Demonstrated success building brand-defining social and influencer strategies that cut through culture and create broad fandom.Proven success leading high-impact, innovative social and digital campaigns. Experience operating within or collaborating with large-scale organizations, driving success across multiple stakeholders and creative or strategic marketing functions. Familiarity with the gaming industry and a genuine passion for gaming. Experience managing multi-layered reporting structures across multiple disciplines. Comfort and capability representing their work and function with senior management and executive leadership. Appetite for all things digital, social and influencer -- up to date on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement.Deep knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices for content creation, engagement, and community building.Ability to think creatively and outside the box, leveraging cultural trends and social moments to make a brand stand out.Fluency in both the creative and analytical sides of digital marketing with working knowledge of social platforms and tools such as Sprinklr and native platform analytics toolsOUR WORLD At Blizzard Entertainment, we pour our hearts and souls into everything we create. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
