Role Overview:

We are hiring a part-time videographer based in Ann Arbor or Detroit Michigan, to join Maximize Media. This role requires a highly skilled, team-oriented professional with experience operating high-end video equipment, capturing dynamic footage, and working collaboratively to produce high-quality content for social media, advertisements, and brand campaigns.

Required Qualifications:

Equipment & Technical Skills:

  • Own or have experience with Sony FX3, Sony A7RIV, or similar mirrorless/cinema cameras.
  • Proficient in DJI RS3 gimbal, DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, DJI Avata drone for stabilized and aerial shots.
  • Experience with studio lighting setups for indoor/outdoor shoots.
  • Knowledge of cinematic composition, frame rates, and shutter speeds.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (editing not primary responsibility).

Experience & Creative Expertise:

  • 3+ years of professional videography experience (commercial, social media, or brand content).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing cinematic composition, dynamic motion, and high-quality footage.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced shoots, changing environments, and creative direction.
  • Experience directing talent and guiding on-camera presence.

Team Player & Collaboration

  • Comfortable working with creative teams, clients, and production crews.
  • Takes feedback well, adapts quickly, and meets tight deadlines.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Must be based in Ann Arbor or Detroit Michigan and willing to commute for in-person shoots.

Preferred Qualifications:

Equipment & Technical Skills:

  • Experience with motion graphics and animations (Adobe After Effects).
  • FAA Part 107 certification for drone operation.
  • Experience shooting and editing social media-first content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
  • Photography skills for capturing high-quality stills alongside video.
  • Experience with livestreaming setups, multi-camera and podcast productions.
