A creative agency/production studio is seeking a talented and creative Assistant Video Editor. This role is perfect for someone passionate about storytelling, adept at crafting engaging short-form content and tuned into the ever-evolving world of social media. As an integral part of the team, you'll collaborate with content producers, strategists, and designers to create high-quality video content tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos optimized for social media, ensuring high engagement, retention, and alignment with brand identity.
- Enhance videos with creative elements, including captions, transitions, animations, and effects.
- Adapt video content for different social media platforms, maintaining aspect ratios, pacing, and audience preferences.
- Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and incorporate innovative editing techniques to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Experiment with new creative ideas that align with viral trends and platform updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social-first video editing.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement for short-form content.
- Proficiency in video editing software (DaVinci Resolve preferred).
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their video requirements (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Ability to work with motion graphics, typography, and sound design.
- Highly creative with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Bonus: Experience with motion graphics, audio editing, and color grading.
