As a UX Researcher supporting the Digital Health Team, you will be responsible for the design and development of engaging user experiences for a variety of applications. You will study and evaluate attributes of how users feel about a system, tracking metrics such as ease of use, perception of the value of the system, utility, and efficiency in performing tasks. You will identify and translate user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences. You will develop task and process flows, current-state journey maps, personas, and empathy maps to effectively conceptualize and communicate findings. Proficiency in modern research tools (e.g., Dovetail, Maze, FigJam, Usertesting.com, R, SurveyMonkey) is required.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Working closely with product teams to clearly articulate problem statements, assumptions, and decisions impacted by the research.
- Recommending appropriate methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) in the context of the timeline and aligning with key product and design stakeholders.
- Creating UX research roadmaps in collaboration with the product team for continuous improvement across the product.
- Being the voice-of-the-user on your team, working in conjunction with UX/UI designers and Product Owners to ensure that the products we deliver effectively solve the customers’ problems while meeting commercial goals.
- Writing comprehensive and well-documented research findings that deliver meaningful and actionable insights (in the form of micro insights and/or summary presentations) for internal consumption.
- Conducting competitor and exemplar analysis.
- Helping refine coding strategy, manage and expand the research repository, and enable insights sharing across product teams.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school + 13 years; Associate + 9 years; Master’s + 2 years; PhD + 0 years).
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Travel requirements: up to 40%.
