This role reports to the UX Design Manager. As a UX designer, you will advance and apply people-centric design methods to create purposeful and innovative UX design solutions. Our UX Designers are self-motivated go-getters capable of thriving in a consulting environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop UX designs for end-users.
- Analyze and design solutions for products and services by helping to improve and create models, concepts, and design elements (e.g., user flows, scenarios, personas, interactions, content, visuals, etc.) following established design objectives, principles, and standards.
- Leverage and use repeatable tools, templates, process documentation, and communication plans for various programs and efforts (i.e., Figma, Canva, XD, etc.).
- Create end-to-end workflows, including user journeys, task analysis, wireframing, prototyping, and evaluative research methods for clients.
- Collaborate on or participate in research on user behavior, and translate them into user stories, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Present design proposals to team leaders and clients.
- Comfortable working in the face of ambiguity, and able to design and drive UX design to meet customer needs.
- Under the guidance of design leads, collaborate with various stakeholders (i.e., end users, other business and technology functions, and outside partners), demonstrating a human-centered focus that informs work through research-based insights and design exploration.
- Use domain-specific knowledge to execute prioritized work, while identifying and communicating impediments and risks, and adhering to defined scope and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in graphic/web design, UX, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of UX design experience in software development or web-based applications (experience should be outside of school experience), along with professional experience using a variety of design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Start-up and/or small company (less than 150 employees) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in prototyping and comfortable working in a highly agile environment.
- Experience in working with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with the development team for the implementation of designs.
- Understanding of how to use design artifacts to effectively build alignment, communicate ideas, and deliver an experience.
- Knowledge of creating and maintaining design systems.
- Experience designing to brand standards and style guides.
- Experience with heuristic analysis.

Contractors will be hired as an Independent Consultant (1099).

Although the role is remote, the successful candidate must be able to accommodate working 8:30am - 5:30pm ET M-F and work from the continental United States.
