Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Channel Director, the Channel Sales Director holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about Video Security and Access Control. This individual will be a strong positive leader, highly customer-focused, efficient, and results-oriented.

This role will be responsible for leading the regional channel sales team covering Southern California, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and South Idaho. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Coaching assigned Channel Managers (CAM), setting clear monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals.
  2. Leveraging MSI adopted business tools and practices designed to facilitate, manage, and measure progress and overall performance.
  3. Managing the channel partner-led opportunities and growing the pipeline.
  4. Creating and executing comprehensive business plans and practices to foster deeper relationships with both internal and partner organizations, and key stakeholders.
  5. Anticipating channel and market needs/opportunities and coupling with MSI's video and security and access control portfolio.
  6. Building multi-level relationships across the channel partner community along with industry influencers.
  7. Leading the creation of innovative marketing, service, and supply chain approaches designed to benefit MSI while bringing value to the channel partners.
  8. Representing the channel perspective to Motorola Solutions and ensuring collaboration by linking channel partner success to MSI's ability to initiate and build solid working relationships with diverse channel partner decision makers and influencers.
  9. Maintaining full knowledge of all relevant business policies and practices and ensuring conformance across the team.
  10. Working with key work partners to create a highly calibrative, high caliber, high energy, high impact operating environment.

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

  1. 5+ years of Channel Management or Sales experience.
  2. 1+ years of Leadership experience.
  3. Bachelor's Degree required.
