Job Title: Wholesale Insurance Property Broker

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wholesale Insurance Property Broker to join our top wholesale client. This individual will specialize in sourcing, negotiating, and securing property insurance policies for clients, typically targeting commercial properties, real estate investors, and large-scale residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance market, exceptional communication skills, and a strong ability to manage relationships with underwriters, clients, and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Insurance Needs: Work with clients (e.g., real estate investors, property managers, and businesses) to assess and understand their property insurance needs, including coverage for buildings, contents, liabilities, and other specialized risks.
  • Sourcing Insurance Policies: Research and collaborate with insurance carriers to identify the best insurance products and coverage for clients, negotiating terms to secure competitive premiums.
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and clients to ensure long-term business success and client satisfaction.
  • Negotiate Coverage Terms: Negotiate the terms and conditions of policies with insurance carriers, ensuring clients receive appropriate coverage at the best possible rates.
  • Client Advisory Services: Advise clients on coverage options, policy terms, claims processes, and risk management strategies to ensure they are adequately protected.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new insurance products, regulatory changes, and market conditions that could impact clients' property insurance needs.
  • Risk Assessment: Collaborate with clients to assess their property risks and offer recommendations for coverage enhancements, including flood, earthquake, fire, or other specialized policies.
  • Claims Assistance: Assist clients with filing claims, ensuring proper documentation and communication with insurance companies to expedite the claims process.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that all contracts, paperwork, and client communications are properly documented and in compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Sales and Marketing: Identify new business opportunities and work to expand the company's client base by generating leads and securing new accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a property insurance broker, insurance agent, or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of property insurance products and the underwriting process.
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex insurance terms and conditions.
  • Experience working with commercial property, real estate, or large-scale residential insurance policies.
  • Knowledge of insurance market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant insurance licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty, or Broker licenses, as required by state or national regulations).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and policies simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or large commercial properties.
  • Familiarity with risk management and loss control practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and insurance companies.
  • Expertise in handling complex claims or disputes.

Working Conditions:

  • This position typically involves a combination of office and fieldwork, requiring travel to meet clients and underwriters.
  • Flexible work schedule, with some evening and weekend work required based on client needs.
  • Commission-based compensation structure with performance incentives based on client acquisition and policy renewal.
