We’re looking for a passionate and strategic UX Research Manager to lead the Talent Marketplace UX Research (UXR) team—our largest revenue-driving product suite. In this role, you will manage research initiatives for innovative hiring tools (designed for both enterprise and SMB customers), job seeker agents, and AI-powered learning tools.

Responsibilities

Strategic Research Leadership:

Partner with design, product, marketing, and sales leaders to understand business needs and define research strategies that generate user-focused insights.

Develop and execute research studies—including surveys, in-depth interviews, field studies, focus groups, and concept/prototype testing—to inform innovative product development.

Lead and mentor a team of researchers (from Staff to IC levels), enhancing research practices and outcomes within the Talent Marketplace.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with other researchers and data analytics teams to triangulate insights across diverse methods and data sources.

Build and maintain strong relationships with VP-level stakeholders to ensure research insights are effectively integrated into business strategy and product decisions.

Communication & Advocacy:

Translate complex research findings into compelling narratives and clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and product teams.

Evangelize a user-centered design and design thinking approach across the organization, advocating for long-term, impactful research that anticipates future market needs.

Immediate Initiatives:

Drive research for key projects including LinkedIn’s hiring solutions (for both enterprise and SMB), job seeker agents, and learning tools.

Basic Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years in user or design research, including at least 5 years managing research teams.

Education:

Degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of delivering high-impact research initiatives that have shaped product strategy.

Expertise in managing complex, cross-functional dynamics and building relationships with VP-level stakeholders.

Extensive experience with mixed-method research and a deep passion for design thinking and innovation.

Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex research into clear, compelling narratives.

Demonstrated thought leadership in user-centered design, with a focus on long-term, strategic problem solving.

Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $238,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
