Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position is responsible for preparing cuisine utilizing experience and a passion for food preparation. This position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. Part Time, Onsite Position Competitive salary based on experience: Starting at $13 an hour. Responsibilities:

Inspect the cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.

Monitor the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.

Ensure that all orders are completed on time and with the correct priority.

Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.

Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.

Ensure communication in the kitchen by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes, and calling the servers/food runners to serve completed dishes.

Make sure that once the food is cooked, servers run food to the table while it's warm and ready.

Keep the expo line area clean, neat, and well-stocked.

Handle guest complaints on behalf of the kitchen staff and look for solutions.

Explain special orders to the kitchen and tell servers/bartenders when the kitchen is out of a particular menu item(s).

Make sure no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket processed through POS system.

Be mindful of "dragging" food to ensure guests get complete order in a timely manner.

Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period.

Accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets (KDS screen).

Ensure all products are stored or disposed of properly at the end of the night. Perform all opening, running, and closing expo duties.

Practice safety and sanitation standards.

Have a mastery in kitchen skills (knife skills, kitchen safety, meal prep, stay organized, follows recipes, etc.).

Understand performance criteria, holding themselves accountable through effective coaching and strong follow-through skills. All other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Minimum of two plus (2+) years of experience.

Must obtain Food Handler's Certification after hire.

Must have departmental software computer knowledge (based on department employed by with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel).
