The Expeditor will monitor final line assembly schedules and make changes as necessary and follow-up with any purchased part shortages to ensure on-time delivery of products for production while meeting quality and safety standards with minimal inventory. Complies with Company policies and procedures and aligns work with business unit strategies. Position Responsibilities May Include:

Meet with Planners and other off shift counterparts for any issues that need to be addressed.

Attend shortage meetings with other peers to determine if any potential issues exist. Send updates via email.

Monitor all deliveries/shipments to ensure parts are received/unloaded in a timely manner to protect the assembly.

Follow up with Receiving personnel/warehouse for any potential issues.

Communicate/Coordinate all schedule changes to necessary departments.

Contact Purchasing and/or Planners for any issues that may need further attention.

Chase any part shortages, late deliveries, or inventory accuracy issues to protect the assembly lines.

Contact Suppliers as necessary to find appropriate information regarding shipments or shortages.

Work with Schedulers to change final line assembly schedule based on part availability.

Update assembly line schedules based online requirements and shortages.

Communicate to next shift personnel any issues that occurred during the shift.

Support leadership with the implementation of continuous improvement processes.

Participate in companywide 5-S projects. Work in a safe and high-quality manner.

Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Knowledge & Skills:

Intermediate skills in MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

Ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment.

Strong and effective communication skills including verbal and written.

Must be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple orders/projects.

Ability to establish positive work relationships.

Working knowledge of databases, preferably Mapics

Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.

Competency: Experience:

1 plus years of scheduling experience in a high-volume high mix manufacturing environment required.

Mapics experience is strongly desired

Ability to apply good judgement and logic to root cause issues to arrive at reasonable solution.

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

People Management: No
