Position Overview:
As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the processes, tools, and systems that enable the marketing team to deliver impactful results. This role serves as the backbone of the marketing organization, ensuring smooth workflows, strategic alignment, and measurable outcomes. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Outside Sales, the Marketing Operations leader will oversee key areas, including campaign operations, workflow management and resource planning, to drive efficiency and scalability across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workflow and Process Management:
  • Develop and implement robust processes for project intake, prioritization, and tracking to ensure marketing initiatives align with strategic objectives.
  • Optimize workflows to drive efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and improve delivery timelines across cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a centralized project management system to ensure visibility, consistency, and accountability.

2. Intake and Prioritization:
  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for marketing requests, managing the intake process to evaluate alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives based on business impact, resource availability, and timelines.
  • Regularly assess and refine prioritization criteria to adapt to changing business needs.

3. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a bridge between marketing teams and cross-functional partners, ensuring clarity and alignment on deliverables and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain communication frameworks to provide timely updates on project statuses, resource allocation, and potential risks.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

4. Performance and Operational Excellence:
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational processes.
  • Implement tools and technology solutions to improve planning, tracking, and reporting capabilities.

5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with creative, digital, analytics, and campaign teams to drive execution and streamline handoffs.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record in managing marketing workflows, intake processes, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies (e.g., project management tools, CRM, automation platforms).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in performance measurement and process optimization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing competing priorities.
