Summary

Implements and develops automation workflows in the design process. Independently identifies opportunities for task automation, supporting teams to enhance design effectiveness and increase efficiency. Applies automation to enforce company BIM standards and trains teams on BIM best practices.

Essential Duties
  • Lead computational design initiatives within the department to identify applications and develop and implement strategies for adoption.
  • Utilize advanced generative design techniques to explore a range of design solutions and optimize spatial layouts based on project-specific criteria and constraints.
  • Develop automated option generation and scenario planning systems to evaluate design options and performance metrics quickly.
  • Provide mentorship and training in computational design tools and techniques.
  • Enforce practice standards by Revit model assessment and metrics.
  • Capable to provide design software training
  • Expert knowledge of Revit workflows and the ability to customize and automate processes within the Revit environment.
  • Create tools for Revit model health check
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate computational design solutions into real-world projects.
  • Stay current with advancements in computational design technologies and continuously improve internal design tools and processes, mainly using visual scripting platforms, API's, and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required Experience
  • 6+ years BIM Manager or Design technologist.
  • 6+ years proven experience in Revit
  • 3+ years proven experience in visual scripting or coding in the AEC field
  • US Citizenship Required

Education

Degree in Architecture or engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Workplace Flexibility

This position can be remote with preference to a candidate located near a physical office, but not required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $85,000- $134,000. The actual salary offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
