We're seeking an Ad Operations Specialist experienced in the Google Marketing Platform ecosystem. The Specialist will oversee Ad Operations for our Retailer CX client portfolio. This individual will own the ad operations process for onsite and offsite campaigns focusing on Google Ads, Google Ad Manager, Google Marketing Platform, and Paid Search.
The Ad Operations Specialist will report to the Vice President, Retail Media & Data Strategy. Candidates must reside in the greater Toronto area.

Compensation Range: $86,000 CDN - $93,000 CDN annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the development, trafficking, and optimizations of advertising campaigns with a focus on Google Marketing Platform/Campaign Manager 360 (CM360)
- Develop tracking/tagging strategies for retailers (e.g., for on-site campaigns using Google Ad Manager)
- Continuously monitor and optimize campaigns to achieve KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPC, and vCPM in Google Ads, Google Ad Manager, and Google Marketing Platform
- Serve as a point of contact for Ad Operations, addressing any client inquiries or needs
- Implement optimization strategies, including bid adjustments, budgets, keywords, and audience targeting
- Improve search ad copy to resonate with the target audience
- Prepare detailed reports on campaign performance with actionable insights
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to campaign performance or technical challenges
- Provide proactive solutions to improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness
- Build knowledge of how Google advertising products work and how they can be used to help meet a wide range of retail media objectives
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years in a hands-on role in Ad Ops or Performance Marketing in the retail or e-commerce sector
- Advanced knowledge in GAM, CM360, DV360, and SA360 expertise
- Proficiency in implementing Google Ads campaigns, including Paid Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Paid Shopping, and YouTube campaigns, is a plus
- Solid understanding of technical pieces of ad ops such as ad verification, website analytics, first-party audiences, data feeds, and tracking code
- Conceptual understanding of the Retail Media landscape and how Google Marketing Platform fits into the ecosystem
- Ability to quickly identify issues in campaign delivery and work effectively with internal teams to resolve them.
- Easily handle multiple competing priority initiatives at once, delegating and escalating where needed
- A self-starter with ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Ability and track record of cultivating strong relationships both internally and externally
