Role Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Social Media Intern and immerse yourself in the exciting world of digital marketing. You'll assist in creating content and analyzing engagement metrics to help drive brand awareness and audience interaction with Cantaloupe. As a key member of our team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in content strategy and community management, while working closely with experienced professionals. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in the fast-paced world of social media marketing and community management.
As a Social Media Intern at Cantaloupe, you will play a key role in enhancing our social media presence and community engagement efforts. Throughout the summer, you’ll focus on the following projects:
- Social Media Research & Strategy Enhancement: research the current landscape and algorithms of Facebook to understand how content is distributed and engaged with.
- Social & Community Campaign Development: develop a social media campaign focused on one of the following areas:
- Customer Testimonials – share authentic stories and experiences to build trust and brand loyalty.
- Education on a Cantaloupe Solution – create engaging content that educates our audience on one of our solutions.
- Internship Program Campaign –design and execute a social campaign that highlights the experiences and opportunities through Cantaloupe’s internship program.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the value propositions of Cantaloupe and core products.
- Develop social media campaigns that amplify Cantaloupe as a brand and our services.
- Craft social captions, visual creatives, and stories to disseminate across Cantaloupe channels.
- Work cross-functionally with other members on the marketing team to develop customer testimonials and educational pieces.
- Help build an employee advocacy campaign highlighting the internship program at Cantaloupe.
- Discover new ways to analyze social media and community metrics to adjust future content.
- Analyze social media algorithms on key platforms to identify ways to improve content on the Cantaloupe social channels.
- Assist with the development of social assets for multiple team members.
- Support the Director of Marketing, Brand and Communications and Social Media and Community Manager as assigned.
- Present to the marketing team your findings, output, and overall project by the end of your internship.
Job Requirements:
- Current college students with at least two years of college completed, preferably with a concentration in business/marketing.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a desire to learn.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, poised, resourceful, and enthusiastic.
Program Details:
- $21.00/hour
- Program Dates: May 27th – August 7th
- Fridays off!
