Job Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Copy Editor & Translator fluent in Mandarin Chinese to translate, proofread, and verify marketing and digital content. This role does not require content creation but focuses on ensuring that translated materials, including emails, website content, and app materials, are accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent with our brand messaging. Additionally, this person will review and verify content across all platforms (emails, websites, apps) to maintain quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate and adapt marketing emails, website content, and app materials from English to Chinese while maintaining clarity and engagement.
  • Proofread and verify translated content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
  • Review and validate social media, email, website, and app content for correct language usage.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all translated materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to refine translations and improve messaging.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (native or near-native proficiency).
  • Strong translation and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with marketing, website, and digital content translation preferred.
  • Ability to ensure translated content aligns with the original intent while being culturally appropriate.
  • Familiarity with email campaigns, websites, and app content is a plus.
  • Understanding of the gig economy is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and content management tools is preferred.
Benefits
  • Pay: $20-$35 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 8-20 hours per week
