The Videographer shall provide support for all phases of the video production cycle for 902nd MI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance relating to lighting, sound, and special effects used in video productions.
  • Provide recommendations for new equipment to improve audio, video, photographic, multimedia, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ensure sound business processes are instituted to optimize production and efficient equipment/system performance.
  • Perform routine operator maintenance of video cameras in production and video teleconferencing operations.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and tutoring of all camera systems utilized in video production.
  • Plan the pre-production, production, and postproduction of recorded and edited video/audio productions at both on and off-site locations.
  • Perform as a videographer at multiple events and can write scripts when necessary.
  • Consult with management and creative staff on technology purchases or leasing, and the workflow to provide an original image to the final edited file.
  • Electronically backup all final files of all images created that allow additions, changes, corrections, modifications, layers, and rapid updates.
  • Web streaming various events for the client/customer.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair and manage inventories for multimedia equipment.
  • Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.
  • Record labor hours daily in an online corporate system.
  • Travel up to 30%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience in video production and editing.
    • Must have extensive knowledge of AVID Editing Technology, Microsoft Windows-based software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required to start.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must know about products capable of transferring, streaming, storing, and outputting video/audio products.
  • Mastery of cinematography methods to compose and record images of the highest caliber.
  • Possess the abilities of a Director of Photography skilled in various camera systems.
  • Knowledge of all video production departments to turn ideas into screen reality.
  • Proven history producing industry-standard, high-caliber productions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the production process from acting to sound effects, lens selection to wardrobe, and color correcting to music composition.
  • Must be well organized, an effective communicator, and able to grasp system concepts.
  • Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and software applications.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints.
  • Ability to carry and operate a Steadicam rig and associated equipment.
  • Must have the ability to attend all customer in-person meetings as requested.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
