The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Jordan Thompson, NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and Major League Baseball legend Sandy Koufax are among the several luminaries who have competed as Bearcats. Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati, Department of Athletics is seeking candidates for a Broadcast Director (Broadcast Coordinator). This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package. Reporting to the Executive Producer and in an academic setting, the Broadcast Director will coordinate, direct, and participate in creative development and execution of all live-game, video board shows, and in-venue production for the University of Cincinnati, ESPN, and Big 12 Now Plus.
Essential Functions
- Direct and/or produce live sports programs and special in-venue events including coordinating the control room staff, students and freelance contractors.
- Collaborate with network for proper guidelines on show implementation.
- Collaborate with the in-house production team to build out all shows and studios for the network which includes planning, blocking, and launching.
- Consult with the production team to improve the overall quality of the show.
- Work with the production crew to execute high-quality network programming.
- Assist in creating storylines for production and support staff in idea execution.
- Assist in teaching and training student employees on the basics of broadcast television through their academic career.
- Assist in providing leadership and guide those who need help in their roles on the production team before, during, and after productions including students, staff, vendors, and freelance contractors.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Related experience in a live or studio environment.
